Shipshewana is host to some great festivals and events each year.  Come join in the holiday fun!   The Lighting of Shipshewana and Shipshewana Light Parade, Shipshewana Lights of Joy, Chocolate Day, Kids Day & Santa visits, Shipshewana Ice Festival and more.

  • Christmas In Shipshewana
    November and December feature many holiday events. It all begins with the Light Parade and Lighting of Shipshewana on November 10th! New this year is the Shipshewana's Lights of Joy Drive Thru starting November 16th and continuing week-ends to December 30th! Then the Christmas celebrations continue with Chocolate Day on November 17th, Wana Night Out on November 27th, Kids Day and Santa comes to town on December 1st, and more. Check out the list and choose what's perfect for you!
  • Shipshewana Ice Festival
    December 27 & 28, 2018 Come watch professional ice carvers create unimaginable pieces of art! Pieces for local businesses will be carved on Thursday, competition carving on Friday and a chili cook-off!
  • SHIPSHEWANA PAJAMA DAY SALE
    February 2, 2019 Shipshewana IN - The inns, hotels and B & B's have already started to accept your reservations for the annual Shipshewana Pajama Sale, as hundreds make plans for their annual trip for overnight pajama parties, and early morning shopping in their jammies. Most stores open doors at 6 a.m. and some even earlier.
  • Mayfest
    May 4 & 5, 2018 Shipshewana MayFest kicks off on Friday, May 4th with entertainment and food at the main tent all day long. Friday evening will feature musical talent in the main tent. Saturday features the huge parade stepping off at 10am and then enjoy entertainment for all ages all day!
  • Shipshewana Quilt Festival

  • Shipshewana Antique Festival
    August 4, 2018 8am – 4pm Farmstead Expo Barn & Event Pavilion, 368 S Van Buren St Bring the family and find a treasure at the Shipshewana Antique Festival. Shop quality dealers who set up selling antiques, jewelry, vintage items, collectibles, furniture, up-cycled products, glassware, and toys, and more! There is also delicious food, entertainment and door prizes! Other Antique Festival events include an antique telephone show, a classic car cruise-in, a swap meet and a steam & gas show.   • Fall Crafters Fair
    October 4th-6th, 2018 Shipshewana will be hosting a festival of crafters, entertainers, and musicians that has become an annual fall event. The festival will take place in and around the town, located in the heart of beautiful Northern Indiana Amish Country. The festival is set to start at 9am on October 4th and will continue to run all day on October 5th & 6th. The event is planned for families and individuals looking for something truly unique and different from normal weekend routines. Show Hours: Thurs. & Fri.: 9am - 6pm Sat.: 9am - 5pm
  • Lighting of Shipshewana-Light Parade
    The Holiday Light Parade and Lighting of Shipshewana on November 10,2018 kicks off the Christmas season in Shipshewana and begins at dusk (6pm. The parade will wander throughout Shipshewana. Along with the traditional tree lighting in front of the Blue Gate Restaurant & Theatre, there will be Christmas Carols, Santa visits at The Davis Mercantile and refreshments throughout town. Activities all day long throughout town, including a Christmas pedestrian walk-way along Harrison Street. This is truly a spectacular event!
