Shipshewana Antique Market

An old-fashioned town celebration! 100+ antique dealers-indoors and out, food, antique quilt show, up to 200 antique tractors, a Tea for the Red Hatters, old fashioned fun, music, and, new this year, an Antique Parade, at 4pm, featuring cars, tractors, steam engines, horse drawn entries, Red Hat entries and miscellaneous units, all prior to 1960, in period costumes! Also new this year is a street party on Historic Downtown Morton Street, with music and events all day, and a street party with ice cream, games and music following the parade at 4:30! And there will also be many events and specials throughout all of the Shipshewana shops.
Many antique vendors will be located at the Trading Places Antique Gallery, just two blocks south of downtown.  A fast growing market always held the 1st Saturday in August. Over 100 vendors are setting in the grassy areas, under the big top, and around the winding sidewalks of the antique gallery offering a wide array of quality antiques including primitives, refinished furniture, toys, pottery and glass, plus much more. Strawser Shipshewana Antique Auction

Shipshewana Auction Inc. of Shipshewana, and Strawser Auctions Inc. of Wolcottville are joining their professional services to offer a semi-annual, catalogued antique auction. The first scheduled auction will start at 9 a.m. on Nov. 11 at the newly constructed Farmstead Inn Conference Center in Shipshewana. This new venture will be under the direction of Michael G. Strawser and Chuck Haarer. For this auction they are accepting consignments of furniture, pottery, glass, art, textiles, primitives/folk art, toys and other quality items. All items will be presented on the firms' respective Web sites, www.tradingplaceamerica and www.strawserauctions.com, and as the items are being sold in the auction room, they will be viewed via digital imaging on a large projection screen. Evening at the Gallery

Open House: Food, discounts, door prizes! Meet the vendors, make a good deal and enjoy the many fine plates of goodies brought in by the vendors.
