Shipshewana Pajama Sale

Shipshewana IN - The inns, hotels and B & B's have already started to accept your reservations for the annual Shipshewana Pajama Sale, as hundreds make plans for their annual trip for overnight pajama parties, and early morning shopping in their jammies. Most stores open doors at 6 a.m. and some even earlier.


Kite Komotion 2018!

Kite Komotion Festival & Clinic is held at the Shipshewana Event Center. Free admission and activities, sponsored by LaGrange Community Youth Centers, Inc. & Head Over Heels, LLC.
Watch International Kite Teams dance their kites to music. Activities include: A "Learn to Fly" Clinic - Free Make Your Own Kite Kits to the first 500 kids - Candy Drop for Children - Family Fly Field. Bring your lawn chairs and spend the entire day.


May 4 & 5, 2018
Shipshewana MayFest kicks off on Friday, May 4th with entertainment and food at the main tent all day long. Friday evening will feature musical talent in the main tent.
Saturday features the huge parade stepping off at 10am and then enjoy entertainment for all ages all day!

Shipshewana Road Run 2018

On Saturday, May 5,2018, the Shipshewana Road Run will be taking place as part of Shipshewana's Annual Mayfest celebration. The event will feature two races designed for runners of all ages and experience levels.

We will kick things off at 8:15 a.m. with the 1 Mile Fun Run. The race will begin at 345 North Morton Street at the Wolfe Building. From there, they will head North on the newly completed Morton Street extension to North Village Drive. They will turn right onto Village Drive and continue to the Shipshewana Fitness Center, which is the turn-around point. The runners will then head back to the finish line, which is also where they originally started. Prizes will be awarded to the top three boys and girls, and all kids will take home a goody bag. At 8:30 am, the 5K Shipshewana Road Run begins at 345 North Morton Street at the Wolfe Building. The 5K race is designated for anyone over 13 years of age. Immediately following the race, prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women overall, and the top two in each age division. Visit the website for more info.

Nearly 75 antiques & collectibles vendors set up outside around the sidewalks of the Farmstead Expo Barn and under the Trading Place Pavilion. Shipshewana Quilt Festival 2018

June 20th-23rd, 2018
The Shipshewana Quilt Festival is a 4-day event with many activities including: lectures; workshops; Shop Hop; and Quilt & Vendor Show. Enrollment opens TBA.


Fall Crafters Fair

October 4th-6th, 2018
Shipshewana will be hosting a festival of crafters, entertainers, and musicians that has become an annual fall event. The festival will take place in and around the town, located in the heart of beautiful Northern Indiana Amish Country. The festival is set to start at 9am on October 4th and will continue to run all day on October 5th & 6th. The event is planned for families and individuals looking for something truly unique and different from normal weekend routines.

Light Parade and Lighting of Shipshewana

The Holiday Light Parade and Lighting of Shipshewana on November 10,2018 kicks off the Christmas season in Shipshewana and begins at dusk (6pm) The parade will wander throughout Shipshewana. Along with the traditional tree lighting in front of the Blue Gate Restaurant & Theatre, there will be Christmas Carols, Santa visits at The Davis Mercantile and refreshments throughout town. Activities all day long throughout town, including a Christmas pedestrian walk-way along Harrison Street. This is truly a spectacular event!

November and December feature many holiday events. It all begins with the Light Parade and Lighting of Shipshewana on November 10th! Then the Christmas celebrations continue with Chocolate Day on November 17th, Wana Night Out on November 27th, Kids Day and Santa comes to town on December 1st, and more. Shipshewana Ice Festival 2018

Come watch professional ice carvers create unimaginable pieces of art! Pieces for local businesses will be carved on Thursday, competition carving on Friday and a chili cook-off!
