On Saturday, May 7, 2016, the Shipshewana Road Run will be returning as part of Shipshe's annual Mayfest celebration. The event will feature two races designed for runners of all ages and experience levels.

We will kick things off at 8:15 a.m. with the Levi Jones' Centennial 5K, named in honor of Levi Jones, a life-long Shipshewana resident and running enthusiast who celebrated his 100th birthday last October! Immediately following the race, prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women overall and the top two in each age division. Then at 9:55 a.m., we have a great event for the kiddos! A 1 Mile Parade Fun Run for kids 13 and under will begin at the Flea Market and wind its way through town directly in front of the Mayfest Parade. Parade watchers will be lining the streets to cheer the kids on, and there will be a special area designated for them near the end of the parade route so they can watch the parade as soon as they finish. Prizes will be awarded to the top three boys and girls, and all kids will take home a goody bag.
